    The Blacks at MIT History Project endeavors to inspire future leaders by documenting the unique contributions of Blacks to the Institute since its founding in 1861. Through research, publication, and film, the project is working to advance the history of exceptional Black thinkers and doers as proof that diversity and excellence are strong partners.
